SecretMessageBoardAdministered by Bad Candy Mark during a lull between the original and current versions of the Bad Candy messageboards (circa 2001 or 2002), a secret messageboard was created that several Bad Candy users, namely onion13, shaithis77, Bad Candy Ben and droid77, had access to. This secret messageboard, dubbed "The Secret Man Messageboard for Men," was set up in response to a mutual friend's messageboard's content restrictions. Essentially every single post on the secret messageboard was NWS, and was "secret" insofar as it was a separate and undisclosed entity from the boards of the mutual friend, since his forums' posting rules were inhibitively restrictive. Bad Candy Mark hosted the secret boards off of one of his own computers, which was running on a dynamic IP block on his home DSL connection. Every time he rebooted his router, he would have to email each board member with the new "secret" location. Mark even built a PHP app for sharing files on the board. He admits to having spent a relatively ridiculous amount of time building the whole thing from scratch, considering how much it was ever used. He was mostly unemployed at the time. |
